Buy Time sends a friendly holding message when Yada cannot confidently answer a guest question, including missing information, complaints, or money-related requests. It can run even when AI Autorespond is off.
Open Buy Time settings
Open Settings in the left navigation.
Select Buy Time.
Configure the holding message
Turn on Enable Buy Time module.
Edit the message guests should receive.
Optionally enable Include guidebook link. Yada appends the current listing's guidebook link.
Choose a delay from 5 to 15 minutes.
Select Save Changes.
Coordinate Buy Time with AI delay
The AI response delay is automatically constrained to remain at least two minutes shorter than the Buy Time delay. This gives AI a chance to answer before the holding message is due.
Recommendation: Keep the Buy Time delay under 10 minutes when fast first-response time is important.
