Pause, Unschedule, or Cancel a Campaign

Choose the correct lifecycle action for a draft, scheduled, paused, or sending campaign.

Campaign controls depend on the campaign's current status.

Pause delivery

A scheduled or actively sending campaign can be paused. Pause stops additional eligible recipients while you investigate content, provider, or audience concerns.

Resume a paused campaign

Resume only after correcting the issue and confirming that the remaining audience should still receive the message.

Unschedule for editing

Use Unschedule when a scheduled campaign should return to an editable state. Review the schedule again before relaunching.

Cancel future delivery

Cancel a draft, scheduled, or paused campaign when it should not continue. Cancellation does not recall messages already sent.

Remove an individual recipient

Before launch, remove the contact from the included audience or add them to an appropriate exclusion or suppression list. After sending starts, use pause or cancel when a broader stop is required.

Important: Record and honor opt-outs independently of campaign lifecycle actions.
