Adding an SMS template for SMS workflows

You can add SMS templates that send notifications via text message to your members when a visitor has completed a corresponding form and the associated workflow is triggered. In an SMS workflow, Kube automatically sends the SMS template to the recipient when the appropriate conditions are met. This article discusses creating an SMS workflow template. You can create custom SMS templates for all of your properties at once in the System Settings section or individually for each property within the property's record. This article describes creating system custom SMS templates, but creating both system and property custom SMS templates follows the same process. To create property custom SMS templates, select your property on the Properties screen and click SMS Templates in the side menu before starting Step 4 below.

Adding an SMS template

  1. Select your Personal Profile in the top menu.

  2. Select System Settings from the drop-down menu. The Operator Details screen appears.

  3. Select SMS Templates in the side menu and select the SMS Workflow tab.

  4. Click the Add button. The New SMS Workflow Template screen appears.

  5. Complete the fields. See the end of this article for New SMS Workflow Template Screen Reference.

  6. Click Save.

Name

Select the type of SMS template you want to create.

NOTE: At the time of this article's creation SMS is only supported for Visitor Management.

Subtype

This list is populated by forms that have information collected from the visitor. By default, this list contains Delivery and Visit Employee.

Token Drop Down

The tokens in this list are dynamic and are populated by the values defined in the Visitor Management setup forms. For more information on the forms, see Setup form types glossary.

Token

Copy and paste the generated token into the Content field where you would like it to appear in the text message.

Content

Fill in this section with the text and tokens you would like the member to receive through SMS messaging when SMS workflow criteria are met.
