Connecting internet to a space

Updated over 3 months ago

You can connect internet to your spaces with internet drop ports in them to activate space internet connections. This article discusses connecting internet to a space, but you can also edit switch port options on this screen as well. For more information, see Editing switch port options.

When you connect internet to a space, you map a switch port to the space. A switch is part of a router’s switch stack that it uses to provide data drops in your spaces with internet.

This article is part of the Kube data-Wi-Fi setup flow. For more information, see Kube setup checklist.

NOTES:

  • If your organization has not purchased Kube IT Management or higher, Kube does not show data/Wi-Fi information.

  • Depending on your assigned role and permissions, and the version of Kube your organization uses, some or all of these menus or services may not be available or displayed.

  • Only those familiar with mapping spaces should complete this task. Contact your IT department or Yardi technical support if you are unsure of what you need to do.
