Connecting to or extending your existing plumbing, sewage or electrical system almost always requires permitting.

This includes, but is not limited to, fire pits with a static gas or propane line and outdoor kitchens with electric, water, or gas lines. A popular alternative to fire pits is fire tables because they are more affordable and typically run off a portable propane tank much like a stand-up BBQ.
