Overview

Referral codes allow existing members to invite others and enable admins to track where new applications are coming from.

How Referral Codes Work

  • Each member has their own unique code (found in their profile under Member Details → Referral).

  • A new applicant can enter this code during sign-up. The system records the referral and links it back to the referring member.

  • Admins can then view referral attribution in the dashboard for tracking and reporting.

Where to Find a Member’s Referral Code

  1. In Admin go to Users → All Members.

  2. Open the member’s profile.

  3. Under Member Details find the field labelled Referral (e.g., 2A26U1).

When an Applicant Uses a Referral Code

  • During the application process, the applicant enters the referral code.

  • In Admin, the field “Referral” for that applicant will show the code of the referring member.

Important Notes

  • Referral codes are for tracking only—they do not automatically apply a discount. For a discount you must use a separate promo code.

  • Referral codes are permanent as long as the member’s profile is active—they do not expire.

  • Admins cannot edit or create referral codes manually. They are system-generated and tied to each member’s profile.

FAQ

Q: Can a member use both a referral code and a promo code at the same time?
A: Yes — referral codes track the origin of the referral, while promo codes apply discounts. They work together.

Q: Do referral codes expire?
A: No — as long as the referring member’s profile remains active.

Q: Can an admin edit a referral code or create one for a member?
A: No — referral codes are system-generated and cannot be manually created or modified.

Admin Tips

  • Ensure members know how to find and share their referral code—this helps increase member referrals.

  • Use the referral data to track growth sources: which members refer most, and what the conversion rate is.

  • While referral codes don’t grant discounts, you can pair them with promo codes if you want to reward referrals financially.

  • Periodically review how many new members were referred via codes to evaluate your referral program’s effectiveness.
