Overview
Stripe Connect powers all payment operations within YayemOS. Once your Stripe Connect account is linked, you can properly configure memberships, process payments, run refunds, manage payouts, and maintain compliance.
1. Understand the Difference: Standard Stripe vs Stripe Connect
A standard Stripe account processes payments just for one business.
With Stripe Connect (Yayem’s setup):
Each partner property has its own connected Stripe account under Yayem’s platform.
Yayem can manage payments, refunds, promo codes, and transfers on behalf of clients.
2. Connect Your Stripe Account
Click the invitation or setup link provided by Yayem to begin connecting your Stripe Connect account.
Sign in or register a new Stripe account (if you don’t have one).
Complete the Stripe onboarding steps: business details, bank account, tax info, verification.
Return to the YayemOS dashboard and confirm that your Stripe account status is Connected.
3. Add Developer Access Within Stripe
Once your Stripe Connect account is linked:
In the left sidebar, click Settings → Team (under “Business Settings”).
Or go directly: https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/team
Click + New Member (top right).
Enter the email:
developer@yayem.co
Under Role, select Developer.
(This role grants access to API keys, test data, and webhook setup, but restricts access to sensitive business or payout details.)
Click Invite to send the access request.
The Yayem developer will receive an email from Stripe with a link to join your account.
Once accepted, they’ll appear in your Team list with the Developer role.
FAQ
Q: What happens if my bank account isn’t verified on Stripe?
A: Payouts may be delayed. Be sure to complete all verification steps in the Stripe dashboard.
Q: Can I use a standard Stripe account instead of Stripe Connect?
A: No. Yayem requires Stripe Connect for its marketplace-style payment flows and for linking each client’s account under the platform umbrella.
Q: Who handles disputes or chargebacks?
A: They are processed via Stripe as usual. The connected account is responsible.
