Because our students are active participants in any virtual or in-person environment, we always want to ensure you as a teacher have the ability to keep them accountable and informed.

First, select your Classes tab.

Then, select the classroom you'd like to assign a due date, assessment, or announcement to.

Now, select the Assignments tab.

From here, select Add Assignment.

Now, you'll be able to create either an announcement, an lesson assignment, or an assessment.*

(*Note: We understand the verbiage between Assignment and Assessment might be confusing. Think of it this way - an assignment assigns something that already exists. An assessment is for something you create yourself to assess their progress.)

Announcements:

An announcement is exactly that - you can create a "blurb" for your classroom. Students will receive your announcement and have the option to respond to it. When you create an announcement, you'll be able to select multiple classrooms (including the one you're in), write your announcement, select a due date, and assign it to your classrooms:

Then, on a student's end, they'll select their Assignments bar, and be able to view your announcement. To acknowledge they've received it, they'll select that Start button:

Here, they can Mark Complete.

On the teacher's end, you'll be able to see your announcement. The chart icon allows you to view the completion progress, the pen and paper allows you to edit progress, and the x icon allows you to delete the announcement:

When you select the chart, you'll see the students who have acknowledged your announcement:

Lesson Assignments

When you'd like to create a lesson assignment for your student, remember you'll be assigning an existing lesson to your students. Select the Lesson tab, and then the unit and lesson you'd like to assign:

When you hit Next, you'll be able to fill in additional details your students may need to know:

Hit Next, and you'll be asked to confirm assignment of the lesson.

On the students' end, they'll select their assignment bar and be given a link to start the lesson:

From the teacher's end, you can find your assignment. The chart icon allows you to view the completion progress, the pen and paper allows you to edit progress, and the x icon allows you to delete the announcement:

Assessments

For keyboarding, you'll want to assess your student's skills. You will be able to create assessments by selecting the sidebar (please click here for more information). To assign them to your students in a classroom, you'll select the Assessment button. Select the type of assessment, and then the specific content you'd like to assign:

When you hit Next, you'll be able to fill in additional details your students may need to know:

On the students' end, they'll select their assignment bar and be given a link to start the lesson:
