Because we want to ensure Yeti Academy is accessible across multiple devices, we understand that students do not always have access to a mouse. If this is your situation, you will of course want your students to complete their lessons regardless.

To disable mouse lessons in the Mountain Adventure curriculum, first, go to your Classes tab.

Then, select the class you'd like to adjust the mouse lessons for.

Then, select the Settings tab.

Now, select the Curriculum sub-tab.

From here, scroll down to the Keyboarding Applications sub-tab and select Mountain Adventure.

From here, you can check the box to disable mouse lessons.

Here are some convenient tips on how students can use a trackpad or a different type of mouse across devices to drag and drop:

How to enable the Touchpad on a Chromebook

1. Go to Settings > Device > Touchpad to make sure that the feature is
enabled.
2. Switch on the Enable tap-to-click switch.
3. If the option is disabled, you have to press down on the bottom half of
the touchpad to turn it on.

How to Drag and Drop using a touchpad on a Chromebook?

You have a Chromebook and need to move something from one place to
another, but you don’t have a mouse? No worries! You can use your
touchpad (trackpad). It’s easy, but you’ll have to practice making your finger
match what you do on your touchpad to what’s happening on the screen.

1. Using the touchpad, look at your screen and use your finger to move
the cursor on top of the thing you want to move.
2. Take one finger and press down on the touchpad.
3. Move that finger until the thing you want to move stands out.
4. Once the thing is highlighted on the screen, keeping your eyes on the
screen and your finger pressed on the touchpad, move the object until
it is where you want it to be.
5. Take your finger off the touchpad. The object should be in its new
place.

You have a Notebook and need to move something from one place to

touchpad (trackpad). It’s easy, but you’ll have to practice making your finger
match what you do on your touchpad to what’s happening on the screen.

1. Place two fingers on the touchpad surface, one on each side of the
thing you want to move.
2. Click down your touchpad without releasing your hold on the item and
move your two fingers across it to drag it to wherever you want it to
be.

3. Release your hold on the touchpad, and the item should drop into
place.

What to do if the touchpad or trackpad option doesn’t show up on your
laptop:

If your touchpad doesn't work, it might be because a driver is missing or
outdated. You can fix the problem by updating or replacing the drivers for
your mouse in Device Manager.
To open Device Manager, type "device manager" into the desktop search box
and then click Device Manager.
