When you want to set up a typing test for your students, look no further than the Assessments option. This is where you will create your own content for students to type and set the appropriate grade level, time allotted, and attempts they will take the test.

First, you'll want to select Assessments on your side bar.

Select Keyboarding.

Then, you'll see our reservoir of pre-made assessments. These are great for when you want your students to type, but aren't sure what to create.

If you'd like to create your own, select New Keyboarding.

Now, you'll be prompted to create a title, content, a time limit, and where you'd like to share it. You can choose to assign this to your classes only, or to the entire school. When you're finished, hit Create.

Now, you'll see your test in the list of assessments. Should you want to use your new test OR one of the pre-made ones, select the little alarm clock to set further parameters.

Here, you'll be able to choose the dates the test is available, how many times they will take the test, and which grade levels will receive the test. When you're finished, hit Save.

Now, you'll see that the alarm clock has updated into a calendar where you can view this:

You can select the Paper and Pencil icon to edit the test title or content, the X button to delete the test, or the View button to try the test yourself.

When your students log in, they will receive their test and take it as many times as you've set in your Max Tries area:
