For Alternative Income Fund and the Growth & Income REIT:

Balance = number of shares x most recent NAV

For third-party sponsored funds, equity investments, and structured note investments:

Balance = amount invested - capital distributions (payments you've received)

For debt investments:

Balance = principal outstanding + accrued interest, as of date viewed
