Open Cashier Shift

The cash shift tool allows you to see all the transactions that the waiters or cashiers recorded in a period of time, and see if the actual balance and projected balance is correct.

You can view the transactions along with the cash turns to check your theoretical cash.

  1. Click on More Actual cash.

  2. Write down the amount of the initial cash fund and click on Open shift.

  3. And that's it! It will show you the cash drawer and the movement summary.

  4. When you click on History, it will show you the summary of the past shifts, you will be able to review the detail of the shift of the date you want.

  5. Click Finish to close the shift; it will show the amount in the cashbox and if there is any overflow.

  6. Click on Close Shift.

  7. After closing shift you will be able to see the movements of the day by clicking on History, such as sales per employee and you can print the shift.

💡At the end of the shift in the day, you will be able to see the summary of cash collections, refunds, deposits, withdrawals and more useful information to keep track of your sales.

Add deposits/withdrawals.

Deposit refers to the deposit of cash into the cash register.

Cash Withdrawal refers to cash withdrawals made from the cash drawer in order to close the cash shift.

To register a deposit:

  1. Click on More Current Drawer.

  2. Within the tab, the Deposit and Cash Drawer Withdrawal options are displayed.

  3. Select the one you want.

  4. Enter the amount of cash to be deposited or withdrawn from the cash register.

  5. To identify the movement you make, add a comment.

  6. Finally tap Register.

Open cashier shift in YimiPOS.

  1. Go to Orders

  2. Click on:

  3. Select the open shift option and enter the opening amount.

Add deposits/withdrawals in YimiPOS.

Add a transaction from the POS terminal when depositing or taking money from the cash register. There are three types of transactions in Yimi, Deposits and Withdrawals.

To add a transaction from the POS terminal:

  1. Click in the upper right section of the screen and select Add Transaction.

  2. Select a transaction type: Deposit or Cash Pickup.

  3. Enter the amount of the transaction and write a comment.

  4. Click Add.

💡 You can view all transactions that were added from the point of sale terminal Shifts→ Transaction.
