Time required: 2-3 minutes You'll need: Xero login credentials for an account with access to the organisation you want to connect. No API keys required, a simple 1 click sign in.
Step 1: Open the Add Integration screen
Log in to the Yonda platform.
Go to Integrations in the left-hand menu.
Click + Add Integration in the top right.
Step 2: Select Xero
In the Add Integration window, select Xero from the list of available platforms.
Step 3: Review the connection details
You'll see the Authorize Xero screen. Before you connect, review what Yonda will be able to access:
Read orders, transactions & refunds
Read products & tax settings
Read customer & shipping regions
No write access - Yonda never modifies your account
When you're ready, click Authorize With Xero. This opens Xero in a secure window.
Step 4: Log in to Xero
Enter your Xero email address and password, then click Log in.
If your organisation uses multi-factor authentication, you'll be asked to complete that step as usual.
Step 5: Allow access
Xero will show you a consent screen confirming what Yonda Tax is requesting:
Organisation data - view your business transactions and contacts for the selected organisation
User account information - view your name, email, and user profile
Check the correct organisation is shown, then click Allow access.
Step 6: Verification
That's it. As soon as you approve, you'll be returned to Yonda and we'll automatically verify the connection. Once verified, your Xero integration will appear in your Integrations list.
Troubleshooting
The Xero window didn't open Check your browser isn't blocking pop-ups for the Yonda platform, then click Authorize With Xero again.
I connected the wrong organisation You can disconnect the integration from your Integrations list and repeat the steps above, selecting the correct organisation at the Xero consent screen. See our guide on disconnecting integrations.
I can't log in to Xero Use the Forgot password? or Can't log in? links on the Xero login screen. Yonda can't reset your Xero credentials.
Can I revoke access later? Yes. You can disconnect at any time from your Integrations list in Yonda, or from Connected apps in your Xero settings.
