📝 Overview

With Slack, you can register a My App in one step using OAuth authentication (login-based authentication).

This guide explains how to integrate Slack with Yoom and start using it smoothly.


⚙️ Configuration Steps

1️⃣ Open the My Apps Page in Yoom

  1. Log in to Yoom.

  2. Navigate to My Apps.

  3. Click Add Connection.

  4. Select Slack from the available apps.

2️⃣ Connect Yoom with Slack

  1. The Slack authentication page will open.

  2. Select the Slack workspace you want to integrate from the top-right dropdown menu.

  3. Choose the Slack channel where messages should be posted from the bottom dropdown menu.

  4. Click Allow to grant permissions and complete the integration.

3️⃣ Add the Yoom App to the Slack Channel

💡 Before Yoom can send messages, you must add the Yoom app to the target Slack channel.

  1. Open Slack and go to the channel where Yoom will send messages.

  2. Click the channel name at the top.

  3. Select Integrations from the menu.

  4. Click Add an App.

  5. Search for Yoom and add it to the channel.

💡 Important Notes:

  • If admin approval is required to add apps to Slack, please contact your Slack workspace administrator.
