Reasons Why User Profile Information Cannot Be Retrieved on Official LINE Accounts

Why do I receive a "Not Found" error when trying to retrieve a specific user's profile on the official LINE account?

A:

There are two leading possible causes for this error.

1. Incorrect User ID

If the entered user ID is incorrect, an error will occur. Please double-check the information you entered!

2. Profile Not Retrievable

If the user ID is correct, it may not be retrievable due to the following reasons:

  • The user has not consented to sharing their profile information

  • The user has not added the Official LINE account to their friends list.

  • The user has blocked the official LINE account after adding it to their friends list.

  • The user has left a group chat or multi-person conversation where the official LINE account was added.

  • The official LINE account was removed from a group chat or multi-person chat the user was part of.
