📝 Overview

By integrating Yoom with Notion, you can perform various actions.

This guide explains how to troubleshoot issues when you encounter:

  • Database ID retrieval errors

  • Missing ID suggestions in the Database ID or Page ID fields

⚡️ When a Database ID Retrieval Error Occurs or No Suggestions Appear

Check 1. Verify the Connection Between Yoom & Notion

☝️ Possible Cause: The Yoom app might not be connected to the relevant Notion database.

✅ Solution:

  1. Please ensure that a ✅ mark is placed on the page or directory containing the relevant database when linking your My App.

💡 Tip: After registering Notion as "My Application" in Yoom, any newly created databases won’t automatically connect. Always check the connection and manually add Yoom when needed.

Check 2. Ensure You're Using the Correct ID (Database ID or Page ID)

The type of ID required depends on the action you're performing in Yoom.

Page ID

Database ID

🔎 How to Find the Correct ID:

For Page ID: Copy the Page ID from the Notion URL when working with app integrations.

For Database ID:

  • Open the database in full-screen mode.

  • Copy the Database ID directly from the URL.

⚠️ Caution:
If the page contains multiple databases, using the page URL will result in an error.
Always open the target database in full size and copy its specific ID.

Check 3. Confirm It's Not a Linked Database

☝️ Problem: If the database is linked (connected to an original database), it won’t appear in Yoom.

✅ Solution:

  • Use the original database directly.

  • The original database will appear in Yoom's database list.

Check 4. Verify the Database has a Title

☝️ Problem: Databases titled “Untitled” (or without a name) cannot be identified and will not appear in Yoom.

✅ Solution:

  1. Open the database in Notion.

  2. Assign a unique title to the database.

  3. Refresh the Yoom interface - the database should now appear.

💡 Tip: Always give clear, descriptive titles to your databases to avoid future issues.
