📩 How to Forward Emails from Microsoft Outlook & Activate Email Triggers

📝 Overview

With the email trigger, you can activate a Flowbot when you receive an email that matches specific conditions.

Usually, you'd send an email to an address like ●●●●.trigger.●●●●@yoom.fun issued by Yoom to activate the trigger.

However, you can also forward emails received in Outlook to Yoom’s email address, which will then trigger the Flowbot.

🛠️ How to Set It Up

1. Set up an email trigger in Yoom

On the Flowbot editing page, choose the email trigger and configure the following settings as follows:

  • Copy the email address you created by clicking the red box below.

  • Click Save, then proceed to the next page, leaving it on standby.

  • Optional: You can set the trigger conditions at this point if desired.

2. Open the Settings Page in Outlook

Open Outlook and click the gear icon ⚙️ in the top-right corner to open the settings menu.

3. Set the Yoom Email as the Forwarding address & Send a Test Email

In the setting menu, go to Mail → Forwarding, then configure the following:

  • Toggle the forwarding switch ON.

  • Paste Yoom email address you copied earlier into the forwarding address field, and click Save.

  • Send a test email to the Outlook address you're using for this setup.

☝️ Tip:

If you’ve configured any trigger conditions in Step 1, make sure the test email matches those conditions.

4. Return to Yoom & Retrieve the Forwarding Information

  • After sending the test email, go back to the Yoom settings page.

  • Click Test in the Output Sample settings page, and once the test email content appears, Save.

☝️ Note:

It might take a few moments for the test email to appear after sending.

👉 Additional Note: Forward to Multiple Addresses with Conditions

You can also forward emails to multiple Yoom email addresses by setting up rules in Outlook. To do so, only Step 3 needs to be modified.

  1. In Outlook, go to Mail → Rules, then set it up as follows:

  • Title: Enter a title of your choice.

  • Add condition: Set the conditions you want.

  • Add action: Choose "Forward to the specified address” then paste the Yoom receiving address and click save.

You can add as many rules as needed and toggle them on or off.

You’ve now successfully set up email forwarding from Outlook to trigger your flowbot. 🎉
