📝 Overview

This guide explains how to add the acquired values (output) in App Trigger or App Operation.

This is especially useful when the test results contain a value that is not included in the default Retrieved Values.

When to Use this Guide?

  • If a test result contains a value you want to use, but it's not available in the default retrieved values.

  • If you need to custom fields value for use in your automation flow.

🔍 Steps-by-Step Instructions

Step 1. Run a test with "App Trigger" or "App Operation"

Run the test to check the data retrieved by the app.

Verify the test results to ensure that the value you want to retrieve appears.

⚠️ Important:
If the value you want is not present in the test results, it cannot be acquired through this action. You may need to adjust the integration or source data.

Step 2. Identify the Value of Retrieve

For this example, assume that you want to retrieve "Sample Message" from test results.

  1. Click "+Add Value to Retrieve".

  2. Find the specific value you want to add and click the + button next to the value.

Step 3. Edit the Value Name (Optional)

  1. After adding the value, hover over the new value. A pencil icon ✏️ will appear — click it to edit the value name.

3. Rename the item if:

  • The name is unclear (e.g., labeled as “value” or “data”).

  • The name duplicates another field name.

Step 4. Save the Changes

  1. Once the necessary values are added and named, click “Save” on the settings page for: App Trigger, or App Operation

  2. After saving, the newly added value will be available for use in your workflow.

🎉 That’s it!
