📝 Overview
Yoom offers a feature called "Custom Apps," allowing you to connect to apps that support REST API specifications, even if they aren’t yet integrated with Yoom. This flexibility enables you to configure API connections on your own.
In this guide, we’ll show you how to configure a custom connect action in Yoom to use downloaded file data as output.
☝️ Points to Note
Custom apps are available on Business plans or higher.
You can test them using the free trial.
Custom app configuration is not covered in our Yoom support. You will need to follow the API documentation and set it up by yourself.
For more details about available features and restrictions for each plan, refer to the following:
🛠️ How to Set Up
1. Download file data based on the app's API specifications
Start by selecting the custom connect action for the app you want to integrate.
Then, configure the connection settings to download the file or image data, following the app’s API specifications.
After setting up the connection, perform a test. If the file downloads successfully, the configuration is complete.
☝️ Note:
API connection settings are not supported by Yoom. Please configure these settings independently based on the app's API documentation.
2. Add the file
Once the file is downloaded, click Add Data and configure it as follows:
Data Type: Choose file.
Content Type: Write "Attachment file."
Key: Choose a name for the item.
File Attachment Method: Upload.
By setting it up this way, when the Flowbot is triggered, the downloaded file data will be added as output. This allows you to use it in subsequent actions within the Flowbot.
☝️ Note:
You can only view the downloaded file when the Flowbot is launched in production mode. It cannot be previewed during testing.
And that’s it! 🎉
You’ve now successfully set up how to use downloaded file data as output in Custom Apps and Custom Connect.
