📝 Overview

Microsoft services allow administrators to restrict the installation of external apps.

If an app has not been pre-approved by the administrator, users may encounter a message requiring administrator approval before proceeding.

Follow the steps below to request approval and resolve this issue.

💡 Solution Steps

1️⃣ Log in to Azure Entra ID

Open Azure Entra ID and log in.

From the side menu, select “Enterprise Applications”.

🚨 Note: Only administrators may have login access.

2️⃣ Configure Administrator Consent Settings

In the side menu, go to:
Consent and Permissions > Admin Consent Settings.

3️⃣ Request Approval from the Administrator

Under "Admin consent requests," select “Yes”.

This allows non-administrator users to request approval when logging in.

Send the request to the administrator.

🔹 Important:

  • The required permissions (Scopes) may vary depending on the integrated app.

4️⃣ Administrator Approval

The administrator will receive an approval request via email.

The administrator must approve the request from the email notification.

5️⃣ If the Administrator Did Not Receive the Email

If the administrator cannot find the approval email, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Azure Entra ID.

  2. Navigate to Enterprise Applications > Admin Consent Requests in the side menu.

  3. Approve Yoom’s access request from this page.

🎉 This completes the setup! The app should now work without requiring further administrator approval.
