This guide explains how to create a Discord Bot and integrate it with Yoom.
🛠️ Steps to Integrate Your Discord Bot
1. Create Your Discord Bot
Log in to the Discord Developer Portal.
Click “New Application” in the top right corner.
Enter a name for your Bot.
Agree to the Terms of Service and Developer Policy, and then click Create.
(Optional) Upload an icon image for your bot and click the “Save Change” button.
2. Set Up Bot Permissions
Go to the Installation Page.
Under the SCOPES, select "bot” from the “Guild Install” dropdown.
In the permissions section, add the necessary permissions:
Attach Files
Kick Members
Manage Channels
Read Message History
View Channels
Send Messages
Send Messages in Threads
Manage Threads
Create Private Threads
Create Public Threads
💡 Note:
If you want the bot to fully function with Yoom, make sure all permissions above are enabled.
Copy the Install Link (located above the permissions section).
3. Add the Bot to Your Discord Server
Click “Add to Server”.
Select the server where you want to install the bot and click "Continue".
Review the authentication details and click "Authorize".
If the process is successful, the bot will be added to your selected server.
4. Enable Message Content Intent
Return to the Discord Developer Portal.
Go to “Bot” settings page.
Enable the “MESSAGE CONTENT INTENT” toggle.
5. Obtain Your Bot Token
Click the “Reset Token".
Copy the generated Bot token (you will need this for Yoom).
6. Connect the Bot to Yoom
Log in to Yoom.
Go to the Discord Integration Settings.
Paste the Bot token into the "Access Token” field.
For the account name, enter any name.
Click save.
🎉 Integration Complete!
Your Discord Bot is now successfully connected to Yoom. Enjoy managing your server with your new bot!
