How to Activate on Your Android with YouMail

If you ever need to make sure that your voicemails are correctly being forwarded to your YouMail inbox, all you need to do is activate. YouMail is a powerful visual voicemail and spam-blocking service that enhances your Android calling experience. If you’re trying to activate YouMail, follow this guide to ensure everything goes smoothly.

⚠️ Important: Wi-Fi Calling must be turned OFF during activation. YouMail uses your phone's regular call forwarding feature, which may not work correctly with Wi-Fi Calling enabled.

  • Open the YouMail app and tap the Sheild Icon in the bottom middle of the screen

  • Tap Voicemail

  • Tap Call Forwarding

  • Tap Activate

  • YouMail will attempt to call the activation code(s)

YouMail needs to forward missed calls from your carrier voicemail to its system.

Activation Steps

  • Shield Icon - Select the Shield icon with the check mark

  • Voicemail - Select Voicemail on the top right

  • Activate - Select Activate

  • Continue to Activate - Select Continue

  • Calls the activation code -

  • Call activation code - The activation code(s) will appear on your dialer.

  • The phone will call your unique code - A message will say MMI code started

  • Succes- A success message will appear if the activation was succesfull

  • If you're having trouble activating YouMail, make sure conditional call forwarding is set up correctly by using the codes provided in the app or tapping the activation button. Check that your carrier supports conditional call forwarding, and ensure the app has the right permissions (like Phone and Contacts). If another voicemail service is active, disable it first. If it's still not working, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
