Updated over 4 months ago

If you are having issues with spam callers or need to adjust the call protection for your account this article will assist you in doing so from the app.

Adjust your spam filter

  • Open the YouMail App.

  • Select the shield icon in the middle of the menu.

  • You can enable / disable the entire call blocking feature from this page by using the toggle at the top.

If you'd prefer, you can pause the call blocking rather than disable it entirely. You can pause the setting within the following increments:

    1 hour
    4 Hours
    12 Hours
    24 Hours
    Indefinite

If you've select a particular timeframe; there will be a yellow banner that shows when your protection settings will reactivate.

  • Additionally, you can view things like your blocked callers list.

  • Tapping the 3 dots in the top right-hand corner and then selecting Protection Settings will bring you to the advanced settings that can be configured with your overall call protection.

  • Automatically block these callers- will give you additional options to increase or decrease the level of protection on your account.

  • How to handle blocked callers- will give you an option to either:

    1. Hang up the call and reject a voicemail

    2. Send the caller straight to voicemail and leave the message in a spam folder.

  • Additionally, you can access the additional options for call protection by tapping the menu (three lines) and then the gear icon in the bottom left corner and selecting Call Protection.

  • Please note: Accessing via this tab would only give you the advanced settings. This tab will not show you your blocked list or give you an option to enable/disable call protection altogether.
