Managing YouMail Contact Groups

Updated over 6 months ago

YouMail Groups

YouMail offers the option to customize your contacts listing by adding your selected contacts to groups. Once you add contacts to Groups, this will allow you to set a specific greeting for this group of contacts. These groups will not receive the main greeting on your account; the Group greeting will play instead of any contact-specific greetings.

Notes:

  • Contacts can be edited via the app or the online account. Additionally, if you edit the contact from your phone's contact list and resync your contacts, the updates will be brought forward to YouMail.

  • Duplicate contacts (contacts with the same phone number) can cause issues with the greeting played, so please make sure to clear any repeated contacts.

  • Unfortunately, if a contact calls an Extra Line and they have a custom greeting assigned, the custom greeting does not apply (by design).

Creating Groups:

Open the YouMail Website and sign in here: YouMail

  • On the left-hand panel select Groups
