A YouMail Extra Line is a fully functional virtual phone number connected to your YouMail account. It can ring through to your mobile phone, go directly to voicemail, or be managed entirely within the YouMail app.

How to get a YouMail Extra Line
To get a YouMail Extra Line, follow these steps:
Sign in to your YouMail account.
Upgrade to a YouMail Professional plan.
Select Get Your Extra Line.
Choose a phone number from YouMail’s available area codes.
Tip: You can choose from hundreds of area codes to find a number that fits your location or business needs.
How to manage your Extra Line number
With a YouMail Extra Line, you have full control over your number.
You can:
Swap your Extra Line number for a new one at any time*
See which line a caller is reaching when calls come in**
Set a unique voicemail greeting for your Extra Line
Important:
Number swaps are limited per month.
*Line identification is available when connecting via the mobile voice network. VoIP calls display the caller’s caller ID and show a YouMail-branded incoming call.
How to receive calls on your Extra Line
To manage incoming calls on your Extra Line, you can choose how calls are handled:
Ring calls through to your mobile phone so you can answer live.
Send calls directly to voicemail using a dedicated Extra Line greeting.
Tip: Sending calls straight to voicemail is useful for after-hours business calls or screening unknown callers.
How to make outbound calls from your Extra Line
The YouMail Extra Line supports outbound calling.
To place calls from your Extra Line:
Open the YouMail app.
Select your Extra Line.
Place a call as usual.
Your Extra Line number will appear as the caller ID for outbound calls.
How to send and receive texts on your Extra Line
Extra Lines also supports text messaging.
To use texting on your Extra Line:
Open the YouMail app or sign in on the YouMail website.
Select your Extra Line.
Send or receive text messages normally.
