How do I update my profile for Young Heroes?

GMs can now have separate names, images, and links for their Player, StartPlaying GM, and Young Heroes DM profiles

Can I have different information on my Young Heroes DM profile than I have on my StartPlaying GM or Player profile?

Yes, you can! We know that getting players to join your games is all about marketing, and that the audiences for Young Heroes and standard StartPlaying games are very different. What is appropriate and appealing to Standard (adult) players isn't always appropriate for younger players. Having a way to differentiate your profiles will help keep your information organized when making Adventures, as well as help you reach different audiences.

You can now have a unique Name, Profile Image, Banner, and Link for the following profiles:

  • Young Heroes DM

  • Player

  • Standard GM

How do I change my Young Heroes DM profile?

  1. From the homepage, click on the Book in the upper righthand corner of the page that takes you to your GM Dashboard

  2. From the GM Dashboard, select Profile

  3. Select the Young Heroes tab

  4. Here you can edit your DM info!

    1. Images is where you'll edit your Banner and Profile Image

    2. Personal Details is where you can edit your name

    3. Share Your Profile is where you can change your page link

  5. Save any changes using the Save button in the upper righthand corner of the page, and you're all set!

How do I change my Player profile?

  1. On the homepage, click on your current Profile Picture and select Account Settings from the dropdown menu

  2. Click on your profile picture again, click Change image, and upload your new player profile image.

  3. To update your name, update the First name and Last name entries below the profile picture.

    Players do not have a link to their page to share publicly, so those are not able to be changed on your player profile.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page, hit Save to save any changes, and you're done!

    💡 You'll notice that if you have different images, the Player profile image is the one that shows up when you log in. You can still view your Young Heroes or Standard GM images by visiting your GM dashboard or your profiles themselves.

How do I change my GM profile?

  1. From the homepage, click on the Book in the upper righthand corner of the page that takes you to your GM Dashboard

  2. From the GM Dashboard, select Profile

  3. Select the StartPlaying tab

  4. Here you can edit your GM info!

    1. Images is where you'll edit your Banner and Profile Image

    2. Personal Details is where you can edit your name

    3. Share Your Profile is where you can change your page link

  5. Save any changes using the Save button in the upper righthand corner of the page, and you're all set!
