In this article we would like you to get acquainted with automated dispatching and how YourDriverApp has set the rules for this wonderful feature.

Once your fleet of divers has been set up, the ability to auto-dispatch jobs becomes available. Automated dispatching means that the YourDriverApp software has created a set of 'rules' on how a job can be automatically dispatched into a group.

Basically YourDriverApp has divided the automated dispatch rules in 2 types:

  • On demand / ASAP booking: Our ASAP automated dispatch algorithm is automatically triggered for all dispatches that are started with the requested date within 1 hour of the start of the dispatch process.

  • Pre bookings: Our pre-book automated dispatch algorithm is triggered for all jobs with a requested date more than 1 hour after the start of the dispatch process.

On demand / ASAP booking

For jobs that are dispatched within one hour of the requested pickup time, the following variables are taken into account:

  • Status of the driver; Only drivers who are available are selected.

  • A driver's calculated distance in minutes to the requested pickup address; the closest driver is selected first.

  • How long it has been since the driver received his last booking.

For bookings that are dispatched more than one hour before the requested pickup time the following variables are taken into account: .

  • How long it has been since the driver received his last booking.

  • Status of the driver; Only drivers who are on a shift at the time of dispatching are selected.
