Usage
Failure to update participation can result in the inability to send out the survey, which would prevent anyone from taking it
Updating participation is crucial to keeping track of the attendance of members and their spouses/partners for the event
This information is then recorded in the hub, allowing for the capture of important metrics
It is essential to ensure that the correct data is captured for chapter event engagement
Platform
Cvent
Steps
1. Click 'Attendees' then click 'Attendees List'
2. From Actions dropdown, select “Mark Participation” to update participants
Note: The list will display the names of all individuals who registered for the event, regardless of whether they attended. The status of “Accepted” indicates that they have registered, but it does not confirm participation
3. You can select all attendees by clicking the "Name" checkbox, indicating that everyone has attended
4. Alternatively, you may manually select those who have attended. Note that there may be instances where members or spouses/partners have registered but did not attend the event (i.e., 'no-shows')
5. As you already selected the names of those attended the event, you can then click “Update Participation” which means the participant will then change from “No” to “Yes”
Be careful not to re-mark registrants who are already marked as "Participants" If you do, Cvent will automatically change their status to "No Show" Please refer to the note on this page. If this happens by mistake: You’ll need to reselect those registrants and manually mark them as "Participants" again so their status updates back to "Yes"
6. After the Participation list updated, 'Participant' value will change from “No” to “Yes”
Note: You can update all participants simultaneously. Please note that surveys will not work for registrants unless their participation status has been updated
