CM Hub: Adding summaries to a report

In CM Hub reports you can add averages, sums, etc. to your report so that the system does the work for you!

Usage

When looking at data it can be great to get some elements built right into your report so you compare and reference at a glance. Add basic summaries like average, median, min, max and sum to reports accessed through the Chapter Data module.

Steps

Get into Edit mode

1. Click into the Chapter Data module.

2. Select a report in the Chapter Data tab.

3. Click Go to Report.

4. On the top, click Edit.

Add a summarization

Fields that can be summarized will be displayed under Columns and denoted with a # and light blue coloring.

5. Click on the field you want to add a summarization.

6. In the pop-up, select which summarization options you want.

7. Click Apply.

View your results

8. Click on Run to view the results.

9. Your summarization will display at the top of your report based on the whole data set in the report. It will also display each grouping as a sub-total if you have a grouping in your report.


Things to know

  • To remove a summarization, follow the same steps and uncheck the box.
