What is NinjaTrader?
NinjaTrader is a professional futures trading platform that offers advanced charting, order execution, market analysis, and customizable trading tools.
YRM Prop supports NinjaTrader through Tradovate connectivity, allowing eligible traders to access their accounts using the credentials provided in their dashboard.
Before You Begin
Before connecting to NinjaTrader, you must first activate your Tradovate account.
Log in to your Tradovate account using the credentials provided in your YRM Prop dashboard.
Complete the Non-Professional Market Data Agreement if prompted.
Wait approximately 15 minutes after completing the agreement before logging into NinjaTrader to allow your market data to activate.
Downloading NinjaTrader
You can download NinjaTrader from the official website: NinjaTrader Download
Download and install the latest version of NinjaTrader Desktop before proceeding.
Logging In
Open NinjaTrader (either web or app)
Enter your Tradovate username and password provided in your YRM Prop dashboard.
Select the Simulation environment.
Click Log In.
Important: Evaluation and simulated funded accounts should always connect using the Simulation environment unless instructed otherwise by YRM Prop.
Platform Features
NinjaTrader provides a wide range of professional trading tools, including:
Advanced charting
Depth of Market (DOM)
ATM (Advanced Trade Management)
Custom indicators
Multiple workspace layouts
Order flow analysis
Strategy automation support
Performance tracking
Available features may vary depending on your NinjaTrader version.
Troubleshooting Login Issues
If you're unable to log in:
Verify that you are using the correct Tradovate username and password from your YRM Prop dashboard.
Confirm that you have completed the Non-Professional Market Data Agreement.
Wait at least 15 minutes after signing the agreement before attempting to log in.
Ensure you are connecting using the Simulation environment.
Restart NinjaTrader and try again.
Market Data
If your charts are delayed or you cannot see live prices:
Verify that the Non-Professional Market Data Agreement has been completed.
Allow sufficient time for market data activation.
Restart NinjaTrader after activation.
If the issue persists, please contact YRM Prop Support.
Important Notes
NinjaTrader is a third-party trading platform.
Platform performance, connectivity, and interface behavior are outside of YRM Prop's control.
Your account metrics, drawdown values, and account status are determined by your YRM Prop Dashboard, not by NinjaTrader.
If you encounter a platform-related issue, YRM Prop will be happy to assist and, where appropriate, forward the issue to the platform provider for further investigation.
