Due to new regulation in the UK designed to protect you from fraud on purchases made online we are required to ask you to perform a security check on larger transactions. You will be asked to do this check by logging into the mobile App. You will be instructed when to do this on the merchants website. Below is a guide on how to perform this check.
Unfortunately it seems that some merchants check out processes are not ready for this new regulation so you may experience sometimes that you are unable to complete a purchase. We are contacting merchants that we see are not ready to encourage them to enhance their processes. You can also enable "fast checkout" with certain merchants so you no longer need to complete 3DS when shopping with that merchant in the future. The option to enable fast checkout is visible when selecting the transaction in the App, or when approving the transaction in the App. If you do not see this option, it may be that this particular merchant is not currently eligible for fast checkout.
If an enhanced security check is required you will be promoted to go to the App to approve your transaction. You will also, if you have notifications switched on from the App, receive a notification.
When logging into the App you will see you have a prompt to approve a transaction. If you click on this link you will be asked whether you want to approve or decline this transaction from this merchant.
Please never approve a transaction you don’t recognise.
After approving the transaction you need to return to the merchant website and click continue to complete the transaction. Please note that approving a transaction it doesn’t guarantee it is accepted. For example you need to ensure you have sufficient available credit to pay for the transaction, otherwise it will be declined.
