The following table contains terms, you might come across Zaikio, and their corresponding explanation.
Term | Explanation |
Job | A unique type of item manufactured inside a print shop โ a book, a business card, a flyer. Simply that it is a kind of product that is made. Services, such as preflight of files, or colour correction, are not Jobs. A Job is made from one or many parts. In Keyline, jobs correspond to products. |
Mission Control | Zaikio Mission Control visualises information, that is shared by the Zaikio Platform. |
Order | An Order represents the business transaction. The goods that are ordered are represented within an order as line items. A line item can simply be a free text description and some pricing information or it can reference a Zaikio Job. In Keyline, orders correspond to quotes. |
Platform | Zaikio Platform enables seamless data exchange between software, apps, and machines in the print industry. Apps communicate via APIs to collect, store, and distribute normalized job data. |
To do | A to do is a work step that cannot be digitised. |
Vault | Zaikio Vault is a file storage. The files can be linked to a job. |
Work step | Work steps turn material requirements into intermediate products. The sum builds the production path. The end of the chain is represented by a finished product, representing the final state of a job after all work steps have been completed. |
