Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) provides an extra layer of login security for your account by combining your password with a code received via your smartphone.

This means that when log in you enter your email and password, like always. In addition you will need to enter a secure code which will displayed on your mobile device.

Settings

You find this setting in your personal account settings. For (dis-)enabling this setting click on your profile icon in the upper right corner and on Account settings. Go to Password and Security in the side menu and follow the instructions for (dis-)enabling 2FA.

To use 2FA, you must download one of the following apps to your mobile device (these apps are free): 1Password, FreeOTP, Authy or Google Authenticator.

After installing the app of your choice on your mobile device, continue by clicking on Setup Two-Factor authentication using an app.

In the next step your recovery codes are displayed. Copy or print these codes and keep them somewhere safe. Recovery codes are used to access your account in the event you cannot receive two-factor authentication codes.

Confirm by clicking on Okay, I saved my recovery codes. Scan the displayed QR-Code with the mobile app installed in advance. You should see a six-digit code on your device. Enter this code in your Zaikio account. To complete the setup, you will need to confirm an email that will be sent to you automatically.

Note

Did you know that you can see which members have 2FA set up on Zaikio in the organisation's settings?
