Sats, short for 'satoshis,' represent the smallest unit of bitcoin, just like cents are to dollars. They are named after Bitcoin's pseudonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto.

One bitcoin is equivalent to 100,000,000 satoshis. As the value of bitcoin has increased over time, many transactions and prices are often quoted in sats to denote smaller denominations of the currency.

That’s why within the ZBD App, your wallet balance is in both sats and your preferred fiat currency ( USD, BRL, and more). 🙂
