Clients don't have to wait for freelancers to find their project posts organically. Instead, they can find the type of freelancer they want and invite them to send a proposal directly.

Finding Freelancers to Invite

The simplest way to do this is to invite a freelancer you've already worked with. You can find them listed under either the "Closed" or "Projects in Progress" tabs on your "My Projects" page, or from the "Current Hires" list at the bottom of your Dashboard.

Alternatively, can invite freelancers you haven't worked with yet. You can go to the "Find Freelancers" page and explore there, or choose from among the freelancers you've already saved in your "Saved Profiles" collection at the bottom of your Dashboard.

Inviting Freelancers

You can find an "Invite" button on the profile of any freelancer you'd like to invite to a project. (How to get to their profile - or any other "Invite" link - is detailed here.)

Once you've clicked the white "Invite" button, a pop-up entitled "Select Posted Project" will open. You'll see a list of all of your projects that you've posted but haven't yet hired a freelancer for. Select which of these projects you would like to invite this freelancer to. (Alternatively, you can click the "Create New Project" button at the bottom, post a new project, and invite this freelancer to that.)

When you've selected your project, click the "Continue" button. You'll be taken to a page where you can write a personal message to the freelancer you're inviting. This is optional. When you're done, click the "Send Invitation" button.

The freelancer is now invited! Note that this does not mean the freelancer is guaranteed the project. This just lets him know that you would like him to submit a proposal. You'll then compare his proposal to any others you've received and hire the most appropriate choice for you.
