To add or edit a due date for an active project, navigate to the relevant project page.

In the white box at the top of the page, just under the title of the job, you'll see a text that reads "Due Date." If you previously set a due date, it will appear alongside the text. If you never set a due date, you'll see a hyphen instead.

To add or edit the due date, click the "Edit" icon that looks like an orange pencil. That will open a pop-up to set or edit the due date.

A few important notes:

  1. The function of the due date is to communicate to the freelancer when you would like the project to be done. It does not obligate the freelancer to be done at that time. This means that a client is not able to file a dispute against the freelancer because he isn't finished by this date.

  2. Due dates can only be set on project-based projects, not hourly projects.

  3. Due dates can only be edited to be later, not earlier.
