When a freelancer finds a project that suits their talents, they can submit a project proposal, explaining how they would approach the project and what they would like to be compensated. The client picks the proposal that is most acceptable to them.

Alternatively, if a client is impressed with a freelancer’s portfolio, their rating, or their profile in general, they may send them a direct invite to a project to see if they’re interested.
