Video creatives

Native video ad units are video ad units running outside of video content (such as pre-roll and post-roll ads).

A typical native video creative displays a thumbnail until clicked and then expands to a full-screen video. If the user at any point clicks on the video again she is taken to the destination web page.

Video file format considerations

  • For video input, we support popular web, consumer and professional media formats. Examples include 3GP, AAC, AVI, FLV, MP4 and MPEG-2.

  • Zemanta will create several video files upon upload for different devices and connection speeds.

  • We suggest using a 4:3 aspect ratio because this is the most widely used video format.

  • You can choose any aspect ratio. Your video will adjust to the screen size accordingly.

  • The video length is limited to 15 minutes.

  • Video size is unlimited.

VAST support

  • VAST 2.0 and VAST 3.0 are supported (together with VAST wrappers).

  • You can use your own VAST tags.

  • VPAID is supported inside VAST tags.

Targeting capabilities

  • You can target auto-play or click-to-play video inventory.

Video metrics

Video metrics available in Zemanta and reports:

  • Avg. CPV: The average cost per 3 seconds video watched

  • Avg. CPCV: The average cost per completed video watch

  • Video Start: The number of video player starts

  • Video plays percentiles: Video First Quartile (25%), Video Midpoint (50%), Video Third Quartile (75%)

  • Video Complete: Number of completed video plays
