How Do I View & Analyse Campaign Performance?
Updated over a week ago

If you’ve made it here, congrats! This means you’ve already set up your campaign and the only thing left to do is to learn how to view performance and optimise the campaign.

This article will walk you through the most important components of the dashboard and should make your campaign analysis much easier.

1. Performance chart

Performance chart allows you to analyse and compare the data on any level. It’s located on the top left corner of the dashboard and will always be enabled by default.

You are able to select two metrics at a time:

Performance chart supports reporting by any entity which allows for a very granular performance analysis. It helps you understand your campaign trends, based on what ad groups, media sources, and content ads perform best on certain days.

We've recently added publisher reporting to this capability, which means you can now easily compare daily performance by publisher as well. You can select multiple publishers to be displayed in the chart.

This functionality represents another layer of clear and transparent reporting metrics that will help you make data-driven decisions when it comes to your campaign optimization.

2. Date-picker

To select the correct date range you want to view the data for, navigate to the top right corner of the dashboard and click on the calendar icon. You can choose from a few default date ranges, or choose a custom selection. Keep in mind Last 7/30 Days does not include today’s date.

Depending on the flight range, it is recommended to filter the data through certain periods rather than looking at the campaign to date. This ensures optimization based on what is performing for your campaigns currently.

* You can expect a delay in today’s date in the range of 2 to 6 hours, depending on our SSP partner. If you’d like to make sure the data you’re viewing is complete, we suggest you look at the data until yesterday’s date.

*Zemanta operates in the EST timezone

3. Dimensions

Zemanta supports many different reporting dimensions. Dimensions are located on the left side of the dashboard. Media Sources Dimension will be available by default, but you can access the rest by clicking on the arrow next to the Media Sources button:

Keep in mind reporting by dimensions is available on all levels of the dashboard.

4. Table Columns

Columns are one of the most important components of the dashboard. They allow you to select the metrics you want to view and make performance analysis much easier. You can choose between a range of different metrics, including complete cost breakdown, engagement metrics, and conversion performance. Read more about each specific metric here.

Make sure to enable all metrics that are important for your campaign’s performance when analysing the data in order to have a much better understanding of how your campaign is doing.

Keep in mind the data showcased in Columns corresponds to the level or breakdown you’re in. For example, when you’re in the Content Ad tab, Columns will show Content related data (title, description, brand name, etc.).

Now that you've learned about the most important metrics and components, you should be able to navigate the Zemanta dashboard like a pro :)
