Automate Building Allowlists of Best Performing Publishers
Updated over a week ago

Keeping track of websites that perform best across all your campaigns can be cumbersome. You can use Automation Rules to automatically build allow (or block) lists including publishers that are performing best according to your KPIs. You can then easily reuse those lists on your future Zemanta campaigns.

Follow the example below to learn how to easily automate this action.

Example: Add publisher to a Publisher Group if bounce rate is lower than 25% and total spend is greater than 100 for the last 30 days

1. Click “Rules” and select Create rule.

2. Name your rule in the “Rule name” field.

3. Select on which level (Account, Campaign(s) or Ad Group(s)) this rule should execute.

4. In the Set action for your rule "Action" field, choose Ad Group / Publishers - Add publisher to publisher group.

5. From the dropdown, select to which existing Publisher group the rule should add publishers (keep in mind you can only select an already existing publisher group).

6. Click “+ Add condition”.

7. In the first dropdown field search for “Bounce rate”.

8. Select value “is less than” and insert 25 in the percentage field.

9. Click “+ Add condition”.

10. Search for “Total spend”.

11. Select value “is greater than” and insert 100 in the field.

12. Set Time range to 30 days.

13. (Optional) Set up custom notifications when the rule performs and define who should receive the notification.

14. Define rule Scope.

15. Save your rule.

16. Navigate to the Rules library through the management console to double-check the setup and you’re all set!
