As a small business owner, you are responsible for both Federal income tax and self-employment taxes that are typically withheld and paid by an employer. Per the IRS, you must withhold and pay at least 90% of these taxes during the year to avoid a penalty. These payments are due quarterly on April 15th, June 15th, September 15, and January 15th and can be via mail or online using the links below.
