How To Import Locations, Divisions, Relationship Roles, Matter Types, Member Types, Billing Cycles, etc Into ZenCase From Another System

What Do We Allow For Import?

We currently support the following data to be imported into ZenCase via a CSV file in any order:

It is best to download the import templates provided below and to ensure the data is consistently formatted to match the template for the best migration success of your firm's data.

It is recommended to have a backup of your firm's data in a secure file system or data center to ensure no data is lost.

Note: All Importers are limited to 100,000 records per CSV file.

How to Import Locations

Importing Locations into ZenCase can be done via uploading a CSV file from the firm settings locations page in ZenCase.

You can use our CSV template file to ensure you format your CSV correctly.

Upload Your CSV File

Once you have your CSV file filled out, you can then upload your CSV from ZenCase:

  • Go to the Locations page in ZenCase

  • Click the "Import Locations From CSV" button

  • Choose the CSV file you want to upload

  • Click "Save"

  • Once your import is complete, you will receive an email letting you know whether your import has successfully been imported or if there are any failures.

How to Import Divisions

Importing Divisions into ZenCase can be done via uploading a CSV file from the firm settings divisions page in ZenCase.

You can use our CSV template file to ensure you format your CSV correctly.

  • Click "Save"

  • Once your import is complete, you will receive an email letting you know whether your import has successfully been imported or if there are any failures.

How to Import Abbreviations

Importing Abbreviations into ZenCase can be done via uploading a CSV file from the firm settings abbreviations page in ZenCase.

You can use our CSV template file to ensure you format your CSV correctly.

  • Choose the CSV file you want to upload

  • Click "Save"

  • Once your import is complete, you will receive an email letting you know whether your import has successfully been imported or if there are any failures.



How to Import Relationship Roles

Importing Relationship Roles into ZenCase can be done via uploading a CSV file from the firm settings relationship roles page in ZenCase.

How to Import Matter Subtypes

Importing Matter Subtypes into ZenCase can be done via uploading a CSV file from the firm settings matter subtypes page in ZenCase.

Importing Billing Cycles into ZenCase can be done via uploading a CSV file from the firm settings billing cycles page in ZenCase.

Importing Jurisdictions into ZenCase can be done via uploading a CSV file from the firm settings jurisdictions page in ZenCase.

Importing Soft Costs into ZenCase can be done via uploading a CSV file from the firm settings soft costs page in ZenCase.

  • Click "Save"

  • Once your import is complete, you will receive an email letting you know whether your import has successfully been imported or if there are any failures.

How to Import Task Types

Importing Task Types into ZenCase can be done via uploading a CSV file from the firm settings task types page in ZenCase.

Importing Invoice Terms into ZenCase can be done via uploading a CSV file from the firm settings invoice terms page in ZenCase.

How to Import Tags

Importing Tags into ZenCase can be done via uploading a CSV file from the firm settings tags page in ZenCase.

How to Import Custom Fields

Importing Firm Custom Fields into ZenCase can be done via uploading a CSV file from the firm settings custom fields page in ZenCase.

  • Go to the Firm Settings page in ZenCase

  • Go to the Firm Settings > Custom Fields tab in ZenCase

  • Click the "Import Custom Fields From CSV" button

  • Choose the CSV file you want to upload

  • Click "Save"

  • Once your import is complete, you will receive an email letting you know whether your import has successfully been imported or if there are any failures.
