Overview

You can edit, add time entry, add fixed fee, add expense, add task dependencies, or delete a task that is associated to a matter easily in ZenCase.

How To Edit A Task

You can edit any task associated to a matter directly from the Tasks page or viewing a specific matter on the Tasks tab of the matter.

  • Go to the Tasks page from left sidebar navigation OR View a specific matter and go to the Tasks tab

  • From the table, you can double click any row item you wish to quick edit a task

  • You can also select the "..." three dots icon from the Actions column

  • Click "Quick Edit" or "View Task Details"

    • "Quick Edit" will allow you to only edit a task's details.

    • "View Task Details" will give you the ability to edit details, add task memos, add task dependencies, and view a task's history.

  • When the new pop up window opens, edit your task details

  • Alternatively, when the task details page opens, you can edit your task details, add task memos, add task dependencies, or view the task's history.

  • All changes are auto-saved and shown at the top right corner

    • You will see "Changed Detected" when you are actively editing

    • You will see "Changes Saved" when auto saved

  • Click "Done" when complete if editing from Quick Edit pop up window

Once you are done editing your task, you will see the details update in the table. If they have not updated properly, simply refresh the page and verify changes.

How To Edit Tasks In Bulk

On the Tasks page, you can select multiple tasks in the table with the checkbox. Then Click on "Bulk Actions" and select your action.

Bulk editing supports the following actions:

  • Edit Priority

  • Edit Description

  • Edit Assignee

  • Edit Status

  • Edit Task Type

  • Edit Start Date

  • Edit Due Date

Once you've selected an action from "Bulk Actions", then enter the value in the pop up window and click "Save".

You should see the items successfully updated in the table. You may need to refresh the page to view updates.
