Project Tabs Explained (Estimate, Schedule, Files, Invoicing, Expenses, Job Costing)

Written by ZevBit Software

On the Client Information Page, there are tabs/sections:

  • Estimate

  • Schedule

  • Files

  • Invoicing

  • Expenses

  • Job Costing

Estimate tab

Selecting Estimate triggers a confirmation pop-up. Confirming moves the project status from “New Lead” to “Need to Write Estimate,” and the project starts showing in the Estimate section instead of CRM. This process is irreversible, and once the lead is moved to estimate, it will not be visible in CRM.

*Contractor Tip: Focus on the more serious leads, as you will be spending time writing an estimate for the client who may never respond.

Schedule tab

Shows a calendar specific to that project. You can add tasks/events and use filters on the right to view by crews, subcontractors, or specific calendars.

Files tab

Shows project folders. Double-click a folder to open; single click offers ZIP download. You can create folders and upload documents/photos/videos.

Invoicing tab

Shows invoices related to the project (unpaid/partially paid and those tied to estimates/change orders). It also shows project totals, amounts paid/due, and a “Send Summary” email button.

Expenses tab

Tracks project costs categorized into materials, subcontractors, and equipment. You can add expenses and see breakdowns by line item.

Job Costing tab

Summarizes costs per job with filters (materials, labor, subcontractors, equipment) and lists expenses. It shows the stats and report of the actual expenses made by the company for the project.
