When a crew is configured with the Foreman clocks in entire crew option, the Foreman can manage time tracking for the team directly from the ZevBit app.
Instead of requiring each crew member to clock in individually, the Foreman can select which workers are present at the job site and clock them in to the project.
This is useful when the crew arrives together and the Foreman is responsible for tracking attendance and starting the team’s work session.
Before You Begin
To use this workflow, the following conditions must be met:
The user must have a Foreman role or the required Time Tracking permissions.
The Foreman must be assigned to a crew.
The crew must be configured as Foreman clocks in the entire crew.
The Foreman and crew members must have access to the project or task being used for clock-in.
How to Clock In the Team
Step 1: Open the project or task you want to work on
From the Home screen in Time Tracking, open the project or company task where the crew will be working.
Once selected, the project details screen will appear, including the Clock In/Out button and the current team status.
Step 2: Open the Team section
Tap Team in the bottom navigation.
This opens the list of crew members assigned to the Foreman.
Step 3: Select the crew members who are present
Tap the crew members who are on site and ready to begin work.
Selected team members will be highlighted and marked with a check icon.
This allows the Foreman to choose exactly which workers should be included in the clock-in action.
Notice that the foreman in this example is intentionally not selected. A foreman can clock in their crew even if they are not clocked in themselves.
Step 4: Tap Clock In
After selecting the appropriate crew members, tap Clock In.
The app will process the action and display a confirmation message when the selected crew members have been clocked in successfully.
Step 5: Confirm the team is clocked in
After the clock-in is complete, return to the project or team view to confirm the crew’s status.
Crew members who were clocked in will appear as Clocked In To This Project or Clocked In, depending on the screen being viewed.
This confirms that their work session has started and their time is now being recorded.
In this example, the foreman is also clocked in with the crew. The system now displays the foreman along with their tracked work time.
Foremen can see their total time worked at the top, along with the crew assigned to the project below, displayed by each member’s initials.
When the assigned Foreman selects the current project, they can view detailed information about their crew members who are currently clocked in.
What the Foreman Can Do Next
Once the crew is clocked in, the Foreman can continue managing the team’s work session in the app. Depending on permissions and workflow, the Foreman may be able to:
Start a break
Switch the team to another project
Clock out selected crew members
Review who is currently clocked in
Verify how much time each crew member has worked today
