Job Costing Dashboard (How to Find Jobs + What You’re Looking At)

Written by ZevBit Software

When you open Job Costing, you’ll see a list of customers/projects with key columns like:

  • Customer Name

  • Project Name

  • Project Number

  • Status

  • Payments

  • Material Cost

  • Man Hours

  • Sub Cost

  • Equipment Cost

  • Gross Profit

  • Overhead

  • Net Profit

How to use the dashboard fast

  1. Use the search bar to find a client/project

  2. Use the status tabs (All, Cancelled, Completed, On Hold, Not Started, Delayed, In Progress) to filter your view

  3. Click the client name to open the detailed job costing page for that project

  4. Use Add Expense from the top to log costs immediately

Why do some projects not show up

Not every project appears automatically.

A project will only appear once at least one expense has been added in the project.
