What is the Estimate Feature?

The Estimate feature is where you build, review, and manage all of your project estimates. This is where pricing, scope, labor, and materials come together so you can create accurate proposals for your clients.

Quick Access to Client Information

At the top of the Estimate Dashboard, you will see a row of client name cards. Clicking on any of these cards will take you directly to that client's information tab in the CRM, where you can review or update their details without leaving the estimate workflow.

The Estimate Dashboard

When you open the Estimate feature, you land on the Estimate Dashboard. This is a table of all projects that have at least one estimate written for them.

Note: The dashboard lists projects, not individual estimates. Once you click into a project, you will see all the estimates written for that specific project.

The Estimate Dashboard shows your list of projects with estimates.

What you will find on the dashboard:

  • Search bar — quickly find a project by name or client

  • Filters — narrow the list by status, date, or other criteria

  • Export — download your estimate data

  • Status column — see where each estimate stands at a glance

  • Create New Estimate button — start a new estimate for an existing or new client

Search Bar View

On the Estimate dashboard, a search bar allows users to quickly filter projects. The search bar can filter based on the columns client & project name, lead added by, email, phone #, address, lead source, or custom fields added as columns. However, it cannot filter by status, assigned to, date created, or date sold.

Filters View / Filters Panel View

The filters panel lets you narrow results by status, date, and more. Click Filters to open the filter/sort pop-up.

Sorting

  • Newest leads first

  • Oldest leads first

Filter options

  • Lead Status: Select one or multiple statuses

  • Date: Last 7/28/90 days or a custom range

  • Lead Source: Select one or multiple sources

Temporarily Apply vs Save as Template

  • Temporarily Apply: Great for quick sorting, but resets after reload.

  • Save as Template: Saves the list with the filter permanently so the user can see the list in the future. The filter can be used in the client list for the Default View or Custom lists, but not in the Pipeline View.

Export Option

Click Export to download the list of projects with all the column data in Excel.

Create New Estimate Button

Click 'Create New Estimate' to begin. You can select an existing client or create a new one from this screen.

Inside an Estimate

Click on any project from the dashboard to open the estimate workspace. This is where the actual work happens.

What you will find inside:

  • Line items — the individual services or materials that make up your estimate

  • Pricing and cost details — labor, materials, and markup calculations

  • Profit tab — a summary of your projected profit margins

  • Proposal section — the client-facing version of your estimate that you send for approval
