How to Complete Main Feature

Explains the main project details that impact the rest of the estimate.

The Main feature is where you enter the core project details for a line item. The values you fill in here drive the calculations across all other tabs — materials, labor, and cost totals.


Steps

  1. Open the estimate and click into the line item you want to configure

  2. Click the Main feature inside the line item editor

  3. Enter the project quantities and scope details — for example, if your line item is Install Concrete, you would fill in fields such as:

    • Square footage

    • Concrete finish type

    • Concrete depth

    • Thicker edge or footing

    • Pump selection

  4. Complete the labor-related setup fields such as finisher count and labor setup

  5. Review all values before moving to the next tab

Note: The fields you see in the Main Feature will vary depending on the line item type. Template-based line items come pre-configured with the relevant fields for that service.
