The Steps feature is where you enter stair or step-related details for a line item. The values you enter here automatically affect the material quantities and labor costs associated with the step work.
Use this only when steps are part of the project scope. Leaving this feature empty when steps are not needed is fine — it simply won't affect the estimate.
Steps
Open the estimate and click into the line item you want to configure
Click the Steps feature
Enter the Number of Steps
Review the pricing and labor impact before continuing
Note: The number of steps entered automatically adjusts the related material quantities and labor hours for this line item.
