Adding Subcontractors

Use the Subcontractors tab to add, review, and validate third-party services for a line item.

The Subcontractors feature is where you add and manage third-party services for a line item. The costs entered here are included in the overall line item total and affect both the estimate cost and profit calculations.

If you used a template, subcontractor services may already be pre-filled — use this section to confirm or update them.


Steps

  1. Open the estimate and click into the line item you want to update

  2. Click the Subcontractors feature inside the line item editor

  3. Review any subcontractor services already auto-populated from a template — confirm the service and cost match the job scope

  4. To add a new subcontractor, click Add Subcontractor

  5. Enter the subcontractor details:

    • Subcontractor service (e.g. Electrical, Plumbing, Painting)

    • Cost

  6. Save the entry

Note: Subcontractor costs are factored into the line item total and will affect the overall estimate cost and profit margins.

Click Add Subcontractor and type in or you will see an auto-populated option.
